     Course Description

    This course will assist the participant to understand the contents of the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations. This course will also assist the participant to link Manitoba legislation to other relevant legislations, standards and the Criminal Code of Canada.

    Manitoba OH&S Law Training is offered both off-site and in a classroom at Safety Services Manitoba.

    Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act

    2(1) The objects and purposes of this Act are

    (a) to secure workers and self-employed persons from risks to their safety, health and welfare arising out of, or in connection with, activities in their workplaces; and

    (b) to protect other persons from risks to their safety and health arising out of, or in connection with, activities in workplaces.
